Glossarist is "a searchable directory of glossaries and topical dictionaries." This in one of the most interesting directory sites I have seen on the Internet, gathering pages of definitions, buzzwords, etc. from many different disciplines, arranged in a directory form but also searchable. There is a wide variety of specialized information cited here. For instance, looking under the topic "dance" returns a set of citations that includes the American Ballet Theatre's ABT ballet dictionary, which includes definitions as well as photos (or even QuickTime movies) of ABT stars such as Susan Jaffe demonstrating the terms in question.

"The spider found itself in her ear, and because the temperature is ideal there, it stayed." Which makes me wonder, if the temperature is so ideal, why don't more people have spiders in their ears? Or is it in fact the largely unknown truth that at any given moment, thousands, millions of people are walking around with spiders in their ears?

I found this picture of Susan yesterday, while rummaging through some old slides. What must she have been thinking as I clicked the shutter? This dates from about 1982.
